Every home should have a wardrobe not only to keep all your clothes in pristine condition, but also to create as much storage space as possible to rid your home of unwanted clutter. It is important to create as much storage in our homes as it helps us to organize our belongings and find appropriate homes for everything. It is so easy just to sling your clothes into a wardrobe after you have just washed them, but it is a great shame. We should look after our things, especially because we can all spend a great deal of money on items today. If we also take the time to iron our clothes because is a great way of taking pride in your appearance, surely it would be nice to keep them that way. Before venturing into your nearest store in search of the perfect wardrobe, you must be sure on the measurements of the space that you are planning to put in the unit into. There are so many different wardrobe storage solutions for you to consider, here we have listed a few options that IKEA have on offer for you and your space. It is really advisable to compare all the options as there are many, and dependent on what sort of items you wish to store or what space you have will depend on your choice.

Purchasing the frame to your wardrobe storage cabinet

Firstly, when considering your wardrobe system layout. This is dependent on how you would like to set out your room. You have choices of corner units which can be a great space saving option and come in a range of finishes. A corner unit doesn’t have to look dated if you go for a really nice and simple contemporary design for the door fronts. Pax modular system comes in four different frame colors; oak, birch, black brown and white and the front options are a mirrored front or solid fronts using the same colors as the frames. There is also a glass option too, which can lighten up any room rather than fitting a solid frontage. If you are considering buying the Pax modular system, you will have to check the height of the floor to ceiling. Pax comes in two varying heights so if you do have the space it would be advisable to go for the taller units to allow for additional storage. The frame heights will need a clearance height of either 240 or 205 cms, so be sure to check this before committing to your purchase.

Shoe storage in your wardrobe

Think about what you want to store in your wardrobe. Wardrobe storage systems usually come as separates and these modular systems can be really useful. If you own hundreds of pairs of shoes there are options for you. Ikea offer a few options for this particular purpose. They now have runner based racks which have shoe sticks or holders on and are a really fantastic way of storing your shoes. This not only keeps your shoes in fabulous condition but also allows you to access the required pair for the right situation without struggling to find them under hundreds of other pairs. Alternatively, you can get some shoe boxes from the Komplement range so that you are able to stack up your shoes on a shelf which keeps them all neat and tidy.

Storing Knickknacks and organizing your wardrobe

It’s great if you can compile all of your items into one place and this may include the smaller items such as belts, ties and jewellery. IKEA offer a huge range of inserts that can be placed into the drawer units enabling you to segment certain sections so that all your smaller items are easier to get to and are ultimately suitably organized. The range that IKEA offer is called Komplement. Komplement products are used once the framework has been decided upon. Komplement inserts have a range of small and shallow wooden drawers, wooden shelves and wire baskets for you to organize your kit. The sectioned wooden boxes are ideal for all of your precious items and the canvas collapsible boxes are great to segment your underwear and socks in the beautifully large sized drawers.

Drawers

Drawers come in full sized measurements and in a smaller size depending on your requirements. These sizes are 93 and 43 cm. The drawers come in all of the usual finishes; oak, black brown, white and birch. You will find that if you do need to cut costs a little then you can consider white drawers rather than the wooden ones. This will allow you to then splash out a little more on the outside frame.

You can spend as much or as little as you wish with this wardrobes storage system but one thing is for sure you will not only find something suitable for your needs but something that looks great too.
